In an interview with IRNA on Monday, Reza Qazvini Ghorabi said that there were many speculations on the drone attack on al-Kadhimi’s residence in Baghdad and it wasn’t possible to accuse a party with certainty at this stage.
He elaborated that some put the blame on the US, while some others point to others for having organized the attempt.
The US and the Zionist Regime are the main cause of instability in Iraq, Qazvini opined, they benefit from instability in Iraq the most and are the main suspects of the new mischief in this country, as these incidents could overshadow the US forces’ exit from the country.
He said that the US has tried to provide grounds to weaken resistance groups and oppress them in political and media arenas and even counter them militarily through spreading insecurity and even targeting its own forces.
The recent incident that happened shortly after Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq Secretary General Qais al-Khazali warned against such attacks in a tweet intensifies the speculation that the perpetrators wanted this group to be accused of carrying out the attack, the expert maintained.
He also said that the US was the main obstacle against formation of a strong popular government in Iraq because it could endanger political and economic interests of the US and its allies.
